SUBJECT: “Colour My World”
Dear Class of 1972,
As our worlds begin gaining “colour” again after the winter, we bet you can still hear those sweet notes of this Chicago tune. Ohio will still be alive with color on September 16 and 17, 2022 and so we hope you have made plans to join us for our 50th Reunion.
A few more details about our agenda for the weekend:
Friday, September 16:
- 1 p.m. Nine holes of golf at Good Park, 530 Nome Avenue, Akron 44320.
- 4 p.m. Attend an informal gathering after golf (whether you played or not!) currently scheduled at the Holiday Inn Express at 3150 W. Market Street, Fairlawn, OH 44333
Saturday, September 17:
- 10:45 a.m. - Take a tour of Copley High School which will last about an hour.
- 12 p.m. - Enjoy lunch at Skyway—just like old times.
- 5:30 p.m.-ish - Cocktails, dinner and a short program at Portage County Club.
Many thanks to Tim Wigal for volunteering to create a playlist for our Saturday evening event. He would like to compile tunes that were meaningful for us, so when you were looking for photos to share, did you jot down titles that remind you of our high school years? Did you find a song that you would like to dedicate to someone? If so, please send those titles and the dedication to Tim at email@example.com.
We remain in need of someone to create the photo montage. And, we still need someone to take photographs for us throughout the evening—perhaps a son or daughter, spouse or significant other—so that you can focus on catching up with your classmates. If you just didn’t get to the computer to let us know, now would be a good time to respond!
As before, check out https://copleyhs1972.com because this is where updates will be posted as we get closer to our reunion weekend. For other questions, please send an email to the Reunion Committee at CopleyHS1972@gmail.com
We are so looking forward to seeing you—
And if you are planning on attending, could you please let us know your intention—as encouragement to classmates who perhaps haven’t yet made up their minds? Just respond to this email and we will add your name to the “Who’s Coming” list on our website and Facebook pages. Also, please reply even if you aren’t sure, just so we know we have valid email addresses for everyone.
