Cleveland Cavs Honor CFMS

Congratulations to the students, teachers, staff, and administrators at Copley-Fairlawn Middle School. They were selected for the second time as the Scream Team Straight A School. They were awarded this honor because more students at CFMS earned straight A’s this past grading period than any other school in Northeast Ohio.
Thank you to principal, Kathy Ashcroft and guidance counselor, Thea Sako for nominating the middle school for this honor. The school was presented a $1000.00 check from Westfield insurance who sponsored the event. In addition they received another $500.00 from Jones and Wenner Insurance, Inc. This money will be used to continue to support the high level of academics in the building.
The entire school was provided a celebration assembly led by the Cavs announcer, Moon Dog, Sir CC, and the Cavs Scream Team Dancers. The event included cheering competitions, dancing, half court basketball shots, free t-shirts, and a celebration of the school’s accomplishment. All students that earned straight A’s will receive a free ticket to an upcoming Cavs game.
