School Closure

Dear Copley-Fairlawn Families and Staff Members,

At Governor DeWine’s direction, the Copley-Fairlawn City Schools are closed through April 12, 2020.  There is a tentative restart date of April 13, 2020, but this is subject to change to a later date, pending the events over the next four weeks.  This is one week more than the Governor directed due to the CFCS spring break from April 6-10. We will be closed tomorrow, March 13 due to the preparation that has already taken place by our highly competent staff.

All district buildings, facilities, athletic fields are closed through at least April 12th.  Building principals will be providing more information to families regarding opportunities to pick up materials, medication, and/or any other essential belongings left in the buildings.

The classroom teachers and building principals have prepared online and paper instructional materials that students will be asked to work on during this time.  Our staff will do their best to stay in regular communication with your child(ren). Please understand this will not replace our regular instruction, but our staff has worked diligently to provide alternative instructional material. This is a fluid situation.  These plans may change per further direction from the state level. We will keep you updated as information becomes available.
