There's nothing All Star pitcher Peter Friedman loves more than baseball. He breathes it, dreams it, and works his tail off to be great. When a freakish injury ends his pitching career, Peter has some major things to figure out. If he can't play baseball in high school, what is he supposed to do? To make matters more complicated, there's something going on with Pete's grampa -- he's acting weird and keeps forgetting important things.

And is it his imagination, or are there two girls competeing for his attention?  To get it all sorted out he's going to have to learn to be honest with others... and himself.

Pick up this book from your ELA teacher or in the library!

Today's featured Jordan Sonnenblick book is the sequel to Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. The title is After Ever after. The story is written from the perspective of Steven's  little brother, Jeffrey. Remember him? The cute but sick one? Time has passed since Jeffrey's illness, but he has a little soul searching to do, too,

This soul searching includes some hostility towards a family member, a friend who is keeping something secret, and a girl who is way out of his league.

If you have read Drum, Girls, and Dangerous Pie... give this book a try. If you haven't, don't worry... you can still read and enjoy this book.

Check this out today from the CFMS library or get it at Barnes and Noble. The CFMS Barnes and Noble book fair starts today and runs through tomorrow. Bring a flyer or show the flyer from the district Facebook page to earn credit for our school.
