Mentor

The Science Olympiad Team competed in the Solon and Mentor Invitationals over the last two weekends. Each invitational hosted over forty teams per division with competitors attending from the surrounding states. The Science Olympiad Team placed in the top ten in the following events: 

 

Division C: 

1st Dynamic Planet: Cole Hopkins and Chase Fickes 

6th Disease Detectives: Binnaz Shaik and Lauren Elicker

5th Game On: Sophie Weeks and AJ Lampner 

5th Rocks and Minerals: Tyler Meeker and AJ Lampner
8th Experimental Design: AJ Lampner, Cassidy Talsma, Cole Hopkins
6th Odds and Ns: Dina Bayachou and Tyler Meeker

8th place Pentathlon: Cole Hopkins

 

Division B: 

8th Dynamic Planet: Jasmine Walker and Harrison Rothschild
7th Ecology: Hannah Oldham and Amanda Hohenshil 
3rd Scrambler: Jasmine Walker and Ian Loose

Congratulations on all your success during the invitational season! As we look ahead, students will now be preparing for the state qualifier which will be taking place on March 11th at The University of Akron. Good luck and keep up the great work!
