State Competition 2016
Students, Coaches, and Parents:
While our 2015-2016 season has come to end, I am extremely proud of what has been accomplished over the last seven months. With over forty students competing at the middle school level (B) and a high school team (C), we attended three invitationals, regionals, and the state competition. It is only with the dedication of the students and the unwavering support from our coaches, parents, and volunteers that allows our program to continue to be successful and even expand.
I would like to congratulate our CFMS Science Olympiad Team for their efforts at the state competition held at The Ohio State this past Saturday. Besides finishing 19th out of the 40 teams in attendance, the following students placed in the top ten in the following events:
1st place Optics: Jun Sun and William Yang
10th place Crave the Wave: Jun Sun and Hannah Potts
8th place Crime Busters: Binnaz Shiak and Dina Bayachou
6th place Dynamic Planet: Jun Sun and William Yang
3rd place Elastic Launch Glider: AJ Lampner and William Yang
5th place Fossils: AJ Lampner and William Yang
6th Place Wind Power: Jun Sun and William Yang
Thank you again for all of your time and energy this year. I am looking forward to next year; there are new ideas on the horizon. Check back in September for information on the 2016-2017 season.
Thank you, Jen Rieger
