• Computer Programming

Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year.

This course is for students who are interested in learning the fundamentals of computer programming using the latest Visual Basic programming language, Visual Basic 2008.  Topics covered include designing a Visual Basic user interface, creating Windows and Web applications, developing mobile applications using decision structure and building Office applications for automating Office 2013 documents.

Students will also learn how to program with an interactive 3D graphics program.  We will also spend a unit developing movies with Movie Maker and digital movie cameras.

    Makeup Work

    1. If you are absent on the day of a test or quiz, you will take the test or quiz on the DAY THAT YOU RETURN.  If the work is not finished on time, it will be recorded as a zero.
    2. Please check with me to see what was done during your absence.  This is YOUR responsibility.
    3. Field trips and other school functions are not an excuse for not taking a quiz or a test at the scheduled time.  You will be expected to take them if you missed the prior day’s review.
    4. Attendance in the computer lab is essential.  Please come to class prepared and on time.  School policies for tardiness and absences will be administered.  Three tardies in one grading period will result in a detention.  13 days of absence in a semester will result in loss of credit.
Currently, we are working with a 3D animation program called Alice.  You can download a free copy from their website.
