Students, Parents, and Coaches:
I would like to congratulate the Copley-Fairlawn Middle School Science Olympiad Team for their Eighteenth Place finish at the Ohio State Tournament. CFMS competed with some of the best teams in the nation, including last year’s national champions.
While our season has come to end, I could not be more honored to witness the hard work and dedication over the course of the last seven months. Every member of the team should be filled with pride!
Besides finishing 18th out of the 40 competing state teams, we also had top ten finishes in the following events;
Rocks and Minerals: Tyler M. and Adam L. (5th place)
Helicopters: William Y. and Alex C. (2nd place)
Rotor Egg Drop: Kendal F. and Lauren E. (5th place)
Wheeled Vehicle: Alex C. and Jasmine W. (9th place)
Congratulations to every member of the state team and the entire Science Olympiad Team!
An enormous THANK YOU goes out to all of the parents, volunteers, and coaches who have provided countless hours running practices, helping with events, and supporting our students. Without you, this club would not be as successful or run as smoothly as it did this year.
