Thank you to Akron Children’s Hospital School Health team for putting together a short series of videos to help us stay safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. The videos help us understand face mask etiquette, hand washing and sanitizing, how to make a no-sew mask, understanding social distancing, and cross contamination. Dear Copley-Fairlawn Families and Staff Members,
I hope this letter finds all of you well. I continue to think about our children, families and staff members every day. The incredible adjustments and sacrifices each of you are being asked to make have, at times, seemed insurmountable. At Governor DeWine's direction, the Copley-Fairlawn City School buildings are closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. All district buildings, facilities, and athletic fields will remain closed until further notice.
The classroom teachers, with the support of their building principals, will continue to prepare and deliver online instruction to your child(ren). It is our expectation that students remain actively engaged in their instruction. Regular feedback and grades will be provided as previously communicated. The District Online Learning Guide provides useful information to help you continue to navigate our online learning platforms. Please understand we do not want school work to become an additional stressor in this unprecedented time. We encourage you to contact your child's teacher or principal if you have problems with the resources provided. Additionally, please communicate with your child's teacher(s) if there is a situation that will prevent your child from participating in learning.
There are many things such as gathering personal materials, middle school orientation, graduation, and senior prom that are impacted. These are just a few of the many end of year activities we are creating alternative plans for. Building administrators will be reaching out with specifics in the coming weeks as we continue to work on plans.

During this unprecedented school closure, the Copley-Fairlawn City School District is committed to providing students, who receive free and/or reduced lunch, healthy lunches. Therefore we are offering eligible students the ability to participate in a grab-and-go lunch program.
