Herberich Primary School celebrated the Read Across America program in March 2017. The week ended with an evening Dr. Seuss Party that raised $1600.00 for charity. Herberich Primary students and parents at the party played games, danced, and had the opportunity to win raffle baskets. Herberich also hosted guest readers during the week who read to different classrooms.
Amy Belles has served as a Physical Education Teacher in the Copley-Fairlawn School District for over a decade. Her dedication and passion cannot be matched, and she always goes above and beyond her job description to meet the needs of her students. This can be a challenge because Herberich is a K-4 building with a multiple disabilities. Mrs. Belles thrives in this atmosphere because she is an advocate for all of her students and she creates an environment where everyone wants to learn.
Mrs. Moore's Fourth Grade ELA classes along with many third graders, took part in a March Madness themed "Tournament of Books". Students were challenged to read 16 books from various genres. The books "battled" each other weekly, fighting for the title of 2016 Book of the Year!
