The Copley-Fairlawn City Schools Board of Education has approved the hiring of Denise Cirino as Director of Pupil Services and Matt Young Assistant Principal at Copley High School.

The Board approved a two-year contract for new Director of Pupil Services Denise Cirino at the regular board meeting on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Ms. Cirino joins the district after sixteen years of experience in the area of student services. She has held positions in the area of Student Services as Director within the Summit County Educational Service Center, Special Education Supervisor within the Mogadore Local School District, and Supervisor/Coordinator/Director of Pupil Services within the Strongsville City Schools.
Former high school science teacher Matt Young was granted a two-year contract by the Board for the position of Assistant Principal at Copley High School at the June 26, 2012 regular meeting. Mr. Young moves to the Assistant Principal position after serving the district for seventeen years in the science department teaching Physics, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, and Chemistry.
The district administration is excited to have Ms. Cirino and Mr. Young join the Copley-Fairlawn administrative family. Their initiative, drive, and experiences will continue the tradition of excellence that has been established at Copley High School, in the Pupil Services department, and the district at large.
