FORT ISLAND GRANT WRITING MISSION STATEMENT

The Fort Island PTA has formed a Grant Writing Committee as a functioning part of the PTA. Any Fort Island PTA member, teacher or administrator may participate and/or join the committee. The purpose of the committee is to support Fort Island’s teachers, students and administration in obtaining financial or “in kind” grants or gifts which will directly or indirectly benefit the students of Fort Island Primary School. This includes but is not limited to projects which lead to improvement in the academic skills of the students; new approaches, technology and/or techniques of teaching; and collaboration between the community and the school. Requests for assistance in making any grant application should be directed to Principal Bob Whitaker and forwarded to the Grant Committee Chairperson.
