Mrs. Blackledge

 

Biography:

This is Mrs. Blackledge's 7th year in the Library and her 11th working for Copley-Fairlawn schools.  She is married to Charlie and has two boys. Ryan, who is a financial accountant is married and lives in Chicago. Cory is a junior at the University of Tennessee where he is majoring in communications and musicology. The two spoiled pets of the family are Austin, a brown lab from a rescue group and the famous library turtle, Speedy who enjoys being with the students during the school months and vacationing in his small pond at home during the summer. Mrs. Blackledge loves to read (especially at the beach), work in her flower gardens, craft, and go to antique shops.

Library Information:

Mrs. Blackledge has 19 library classes a week.  She orders all the books for the library, maintains the video and media kits, as well as the equipment.  Mrs. Blackledge is also in charge of barcoding and processing all new books, performing year-end inventory, and instructing students on library procedures and curriculum as well as other miscellaneous duties.  The library hosts a yearly Scholastic Book Fair that has become a family favorite and and also helps to buy many new books for the Fort Island Library.
