Welcome Back To School! The hallways have been too quiet as the staff and I have been preparing for your arrival! We are ready for the 2012-2013 school year to get started!

A new school year brings staffing changes and additions:
 KDG:  Angela Sutter will be our am Kindergarten Teacher and PM K + teacher.

Thank you for joining me in welcoming the newest members of the Herberich School community.

The PTA supports learning in so many ways so please show your support by becoming a PTA member today! Assemblies that create learning opportunities, books that students bring home to read, Market Day and SCRIP gift card shopping opportunities and events that bring our school community together are just a few of the things that our PTA is responsible for each year.

The teachers will be implementing a new math series for the second year called Everyday Mathematics. This is a research based program that will teach children how to solve problems by using multiple strategies. This curriculum is aligned with the new common core content standards at each grade level which is being introduced by the Ohio Department of Education. The resources available for parents are great.

The staff has worked extremely hard to prepare for another exciting school year. The floors are sparkling, bulletin boards are up, and the books are in the desks. All we need are the students. It’s going to be a wonderful year! Please let us know if you have any suggestions, concerns or questions.
