Mrs. Worthington

Biography:

I was raised in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. I attended Dan Emmitt Elementary School, and learned the song "Dixie" because the man the school was named after wrote it. My only sister, Susan, and I graduated from Mt. Vernon High School, and went on to college. I completed my art degree from Ashland College, moved to Akron and married a Firestone man. Randy and I have lived in the Akron area for many, many years. He still works for Bridgestone-Firestone. We raised two children, Heather and Wade.  They both graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and Kent State University.  They are both married.  Heather gave me my first grandson, Jackson, in 2004. I continue to enjoy painting landscapes and animals. I also enjoy hand building and throwing clay on the potter's wheel. I love to hike with my golden retriever, Coach. I have been at Fort Island for nearly 20 years.

Class Information:

I teach art to all the students at Fort Island, Kindergarten through fourth grade.
