Mrs. Dodd

Biography:

My name is Diana Dodd and I love teaching. I was born in Medina, Ohio. My family moved to Barberton and my memories are about my life there. At an early age  I wanted to be a teacher and had my own grade book at age six.  I graduated from Barberton High School and then attended the University of Akron. I received my Special Education Certification in 1985. I went on to receive my Master's Degree in 2002. I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Megan.  Megan is married to a Pastor and lives in Pennsylvania. Michelle is employed at a bank in Illinois. My family is my biggest blessing.

Class Information:

I love teaching. My day consists of two classes. This means I see a total of 43 students each day!

Kindergarten today is an exciting place to be!  The children are not only learning how to get along with each other, but they are learning to read and write! the children have weekly sight words to learn, and each week they write in their journals.

Our classes are fun and involve many parents. Each week we have parent learning centers.

I love being a part of the Fort Island Family!
