Amy Belles has served as a Physical Education Teacher in the Copley-Fairlawn School District for over a decade. Her dedication and passion cannot be matched, and she always goes above and beyond her job description to meet the needs of her students. This can be a challenge because Herberich is a K-4 building with a multiple disabilities. Mrs. Belles thrives in this atmosphere because she is an advocate for all of her students and she creates an environment where everyone wants to learn.
Mrs. Moore's Fourth Grade ELA classes along with many third graders, took part in a March Madness themed "Tournament of Books". Students were challenged to read 16 books from various genres. The books "battled" each other weekly, fighting for the title of 2016 Book of the Year!
On February 9th and 10th, Mrs. Fittante and Miss Beavers attended the National Reading Recovery and K-6 Literacy Conference, where they learned strategies for vocabulary instruction, assessment, and student-led research projects. They also presented a concurrent session about their success with collaboration and co-teaching.
