The SAT is primarily a multiple choice test and consists of two verbal sections, two math sections, and one additional math section with student generated answers. SAT scoring scale is 200 - 800. This test is taken in the spring of the junior year and/or the fall of the senior year. The SAT I is used as part of the application process for admission to college. Subject tests may be taken in the spring of the junior year or the fall of the senior year. Some selective colleges require SAT II for admission purposes. These schools usually require three tests: Writing and two others of the student's choice. Students are encouraged to take SAT II in subjects in which they excel. Three SAT II tests may be taken on the same day. Score Choice is an option students may choose when registering for SAT II. It lets students put a hold on all of their SAT II: Subject Tests scores. After they review their scores, they can decide whether to release any of their scores to colleges. Students may register for SAT II by completing a registration form available in the guidance office, or Online (credit card required) - www.collegeboard.org. Students who have previously registered for either SAT I or SAT II may re-register by phone (credit card required) 1.800.SAT.SCORE.

PLAN Test

PLAN helps tenth graders build a solid foundation for future academic and career success and provides information needed to address school districts' high-priority issues. It is a comprehensive guidance resource that helps students measure their current academic development, explore career/training options, and make plans for the remaining years of high school and post-graduation years. PLAN can help all students-those who are college bound as well as those who are likely to enter the workforce directly after high school. Typically, PLAN is administered in the fall of the sophomore year.
